AboutMinwoo Park is a VP of perception & ML foundation for autonomous vehicle at Nvidia.
Before joining Nvidia, he was managing autopilot visual perception group at Tesla. He was the first official computer vision engineer at Tesla and is a major contributor of the Tesla Vision. He was a Research Scientist with ObjectVideo, Reston, VA where he was a major contributor of IARPA funded Finder program. Prior to joining to ObjectVideo, he was a Research Scientist with the Kodak Research Laboratories where he is actively involved in corporate research and served as a patent review board. He received the B.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from Korea University, Seoul, in 2004, the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from The Pennsylvania State University in 2007, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science and engineering from The Pennsylvania State University in 2010. His research area is computer vision, with current emphasis on scene understanding for autonomous vehicle. Dr. Park has authored over 24 technical papers and 14 pending/issued US patents. Dr. Park has been actively involved in numerous technical conferences, including serving as the general chair of IEEE WNYIPW 2011 and Industry Program organizer of IEEE ISM 2012. He routinely serves as a reviewer for IEEE, ACM, Springer, and Elsevier conferences and journals in the area of computer vision. He is a senior member of the IEEE and the IEEE Signal Processing Society. |
